Chocolate Valentine's Day Gifts

What's the classic Valentine's Day gift? A heart-shaped box of chocolates and maybe some flowers (if you're lucky). But even as a child, chances are you got chocolate Valentine's Day gifts from someone.

Valentine's Day Candy
Nearly everyone has had fun reading those candy conversation hearts that come out around Valentine's Day or a heart-shaped box of red hots. The really fortunate got a big chocolate Hershey's kiss. (What a way to say "I Love You"!) But the most common chocolate Valentine's Day gifts are the heart-shaped boxes of chocolates. The come in one shape but in all sizes, and they're still a hit today. They are classic, traditional chocolate gifts. And who knows--if you ask nicely, the recipient just might share....something to think about!

If you really want to impress your girlfriend or wife on Valentine's day, chocolate roses are quickly becoming the chocolate Valentine's Day gifts of choice (next to diamonds, of course, but not everyone can afford that). Other delightful chocolate Valentine's Day gifts include a heart-shaped chocolate chip cookie, a heart-shaped cheesecake, chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate dipped wine or even chocolate gift baskets that have more than chocolate. You can be sweet and get a teddy bear who's holding a box of chocolates or chocolate bath products. Be creative and you're sure to get noticed or make a lasting impression on someone special.

Of course, most of these chocolate Valentine's Day gifts could also make nice chocolate anniversary gifts or chocolate wedding gifts. You're probably wondering why you would give anyone chocolate for a wedding gift. But if the bride and groom are chocolate lovers and you want to stand out in their minds as a unique gift giver, why not give them chocolate? At the very least, put a Godiva milk chocolate bar on the gift you give them instead of a bow. Yum!
